What Is TB12?
Love him or hate him, Tom Brady has been dubbed “the greatest quarterback of all time.” Aside from being a great football player, he also takes great care of his body through proper training and nutrition. As an athlete, Brady stresses the importance of understanding how your body works, in order to achieve your peak physical performance.
The History of TB12
In 2014, Brady opened his TB12 Sports Therapy Center at Patriot Place in Foxboro, MA to offer highly specialized sports performance programs to the public. At the beginning of 2016, he launched his TB12 website. Through the online store, you can purchase nutritional supplements, fitness gear, apparel and exercise software. This spring, Brady released his TB12 Nutritional Manual, featuring “89 seasonally-inspired recipes.” On August 22, TB12 also introduced vegan snack bags, but the products have already sold out!
The Tom Brady Philosophy
Brady works with a body coach to help promote his health. Over the years, he has learned the importance of:
- Recovering from injury
- Preventing future injury
- Eating the right foods
- Staying hydrated
- Exercising for peak performance and to keep muscles pliable
As a professional athlete, it has been Brady’s mission to impart this information to other athletes and active individuals.
Inside the TB12 Nutritional Manual
Although Brady will be the first person to tell you that it’s not a cookbook, the TB12 Nutritional Manual is filled with healthy recipe substitutions for traditional foods. It costs $200, but purchasers will be sent additions periodically. Brady’s diet keeps him going strong and reduces inflammation. As a result, he eats 80 percent vegetables and stays away from:
- Dairy Products
- White Flour
- Olive Oil
Some recipes you may see in the TB12 Nutrition Manual? Avocado ice cream and sweet potato gnocchi with escarole.
